One facet of this issue which has not been brought up yet is that it has become virtually impossible, because of the sheer quantity, to have comprehensive and encyclopedic knowledge of the subject. Twenty years ago one could collect VHS tapes, and strive to have a complete collection of, say, all movies featuring anal penetration. Nowadays it's impossible to keep up with even the new releases so to speak.

We need better summaries, highlights, archives and compendiums. I can only assume the level of frustration and despair when people reach certain age. My sincere condolences.

I can definitely tell the difference between guys I'm with who watch porn a lot and those who don't. The ones who do get off on treating girls the way they see in vids-- like girls are slaves who "deserve" to be punished or something.
