Hello Friends,

Something that has really got me upset in the past 24 hours, is this memo from a Google employee that says "Women are biologically unfit" to work in tech. This is an outrage. Women can do whatever they want, and they can do it better than most men. I stand with the women of Google. Many of who have decided not to come into work today in protest. Diversity among genders is a huge problem in the tech industry, and this will only make things worse.

You are correct, they took swift action by firing this bigot. But how deep does this go? Was this person the only one who felt this way? Im guessing that's not the case. Is this a cultural problem at Google? Do people of other genders feel safe working in this culture at Google? There is so many questions that we need answers to.

I would not want to fire somebody just because they disagreed with me. I would want to fire somebody if they disagreed with me and insult millions of women in the process.

Most, if not all, employers will fire you for making faceyspacey internet comments that disparage the employer, or display bigotry or advocate violence.

Think of it as millennial darwinism.

None of those should be "ridiculous" in the terms of this equality discussion. The bathroom thing is simply a preference imo and doesn't belong or help your argument.

The narrow minded view that only women can breast feed children is the real travesty. Equal rights for all!

I don't see the connection here. What does a history factoid have to do with the legality of same sex marriage?
