are there any good restaurants? This girl I met last weekend texted me "i'm so hungry, do you have anything to feed me?" and so I guess I have to take her to eat somewhere. She lives around Philly so I figure I can take her to a local place. Any ideas?
Also, she's like a 4 out of 10 but she has really smooth elbows. I know because one of them brushed against my arm when we were standing by the bar.
Just ask a homeless person, there is a whole bunch in West Philly. Despite most of them being mildly ******ed, they know where you can get a good burger!
i would suggest the Dalek as the first date, btw, only because its much nicer looking etc. Abyssinia has the best food, but it looks like a dumpy hole in the wall. I prefer that, but your first date might not.
And why just west philly? there's a [censored] load of good places in center city and its not a far drive/cab ride from west philly. what are you looking to spend and what kind of food are you looking for?
$160-200 bucks for appetizer 2 entrees and some wine including tip will get you an incredible meal at Alma De Cuba, which is on Walnut.
There's a damn good french restaurant at 12th and walnut called Caribou Cafe (not to be confused with the coffee chain).
i can recommend more if you want.
Also in West philly, there's a Thai place at 40th and Chestnut right on the south west corner, i cant remember the name, but its not bad.
I would say in West Philly/University City:
Pod around 34th street (walnut and chestnut)
Bistro St Tropez (about 29th and market overlooking river)
Cheaper:
Mad 4 Mex around 38th and walnut
Marthon Grill 40th and walnut
Other than that, you're waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better off going out in center city/old city...
If she's way west in Manayunk (where I live fool)
go to Hikaru or US Hotel or Bella Trattoria
