If you eat solid food off of any kind of flat object within sub five miles of a serviceable bed you're basically gay.

Re: Vietnam TR w/pics.

So this leg injury really messed me up. Needed to have surgery so been pretty much out of commission the last couple weeks.

So idk I guess a pretty lot has happened. Poker has actually taken a back seat to a new venture back into the business world. I've teamed up with a few people and we are involved in the real estate game. Everything from residential and commercial leasing to large commercial purchases.

Basically deals ranging from a 500 a month lease to a commercial sale for 25million is currently in play.

Also I made kind of like a philisophical decision and cashed out my poker account to force myself to have to succeed without it. It's been quite an adjustment though as far as schedule. Going from waking up and rolling over and opening the computer to actually waking up and going to my office. Not only that actually having to like talk to people for the first time in years.

Here's a pic of our staff at our office.

[IMG][/IMG]

The white guy to the left of me is our country director Jeff and one of my best friends and from Toronto. The shorter viet guy next to him is thai. He is also from Canada. He's like our local advisor/special ops and is a big part of the reason we are even involved in multimillion dollar commercial deals here in Vietnam. The tall girl in the back in orange is his wife.

The girl in front of in the black and yellow is Vy. She just came on board as basically my executive assistant/sales and marketing manager. The girl to the left of her is Hoa. She is out little flower and is the head of the listings team. She is the definition of a traditional, conservative viet girl and she's actually really cute. If she ever got done up and dressed like a girl at a club she would crush any working girl you could find at a club. Whoever ends up with her will have done good.

Jeff gf is a famous singer/actress here. This is a video of her. She's a really nice girl.

http://mp3.zing.vn/video-clip/Co-Dau.../ZW6ODEIF.html

And finally, yes I can finally say finally. My ex started to come back around recently. She was making some sort of an effort I guess it seemed. She was making plans, coming over, taking care of me with my leg etc. I wasn't even sure I wanted to try again as I got some other one else I'm seeing now that I like. but I was willing to see how much of an effort she was going to make this time.

Without going into details she came up real short and there's no chance I will ever even talk to her again. So it's good though as I'm not hurt at all and I can officially close that door for good.

One parting shot of Phung, appropriately from behind as that's the last I will see of her.

Nice update. I like the goodbye shot of the ex. Brings a sense of closure.

How's your leg doing now? You moving around without pain?

Well, right. Problem with that is a girl like that if you're gonna take on a date you better be prepared to be serious. Especially if you're one of her bosses.

Re: Vietnam TR w/pics.

awesome thread.

im curious did they put you on painkillers for the leg?? if so hows that going in regards to the previous opiate problems? it seems like a situation where you probably should really be taking them for pain but then theres the whole slippery slope deal.

But i could also see taking them being no problem because of the lifestyle change in vietnam. Having a lot of productive stuff to do and a busy social life and all that.

Good question, ummm their idea of painkillers here(which is a good thing for me) is like Ibuprofen or maybe at strongest tylenol with codeine. Yea I have to be careful even messing for a day or 2 with a mild opiate my body would know it, regardless where in the world I am etc. There is no hiding from that demon.

Re: Vietnam TR w/pics.

merry xmas 4life

Vietnam has a large percentage of Christian here, so xmas time is a rather big few days in the city. The streets are packed at night and the bars and cubs are all busy with holiday events.

Was nice to have a few proper dinners this year with some close friends.

Some of the poker players and fellow 2plus2ers got together for a nice dinner. One of them had a proper turkey dinner catered. Was excellent and is a nice treat to have as you can only get turkey here a couple times a year.

Here's a pic right before we got down to business

[IMG][/IMG]

Last night we went out for a xmas eve dinner. All you can eat sushi and a bottle of vodka and a bottle of whiskey. Place is cool and the owner let's us bring our own bottle with no corking fee. So only cost is about 13 bucks a head.

[IMG][/IMG]

'santori times" whiskey. I forget the line from the movie but it's like the only japanese whiskey. My friend doing his best Bill Murray impression.

[IMG][/IMG]

This is my friends thai's wife.He is the Vietnamese guy in the group pic .She had a cool new haircut for the holiday.

[IMG][/IMG]

my date. First date with this girl. She's a good traditional girl, lives with parents, 10pm curfew etc. but speaks excellent english and is open to western culture as well as dating a foreigner. I think I've finally learned my lesson with me ex and have had enough of viet girls of questionable character.

Yes, I believe I've ran into him a time or 2 and have met most of the poker players at some point. Some I see more than others.

No, there are no games like that for the most part. I mean I know of people who have told me about games of that size and bigger. But they're like private and games that just run here and there.I'm sure I could get in some but I'm not in no rush to go jump in a game like that without really knowing who's running it etc. With all the ways to cheat and scam home games with all these electronic cards, cards you can see with special lenses and what not.

At the end of the day I just don't trust them enough to mess with it, and I'm a pretty trusting optimistic type when it comes to **** like that.
