OP confirm beast didn't realize it was possible for anyone to be crazy enough to hit two club right off the bat from airport. I have a feeling we going to have more crazy night

yea I could not stop laughing to myself how I just got off a 24 hr flight and figured a shower, sth to eat and just relax turns into being at a nice quiet viet club..

So I had finally broke down and got an iphone while I was home. I was just starting to enjoy actually having a camera here as I hadn't even hooked it up as a phone. Anyways within like few days of getting back I left the thing in a taxi. Just not meant for me to have one as I'll lose 1 every few months. So back to my old school nokia.

Anyways I did just get an ipad, and while I don't have it as much as I would the phone , I still have it enough to capture some of the day to day horse****.

So they finally opened a burger king here. It's located at the airport, outside at the international departure terminal.I had it once and can confirm that at least the burgers are the same as in the US. It was a nice day last sunday and a friend of mine we're deciding where to go to lunch. I suggested we make a trip to the airport for some bk.He agreed but said we would need to puff a jay for the trip.I agreed and we sat at a little coffee shop, got high and discussed the plan.

The plan was drive to the airport, which is about 25 min from downtown, pull up on the motos.. one of us runs up , grabs a half dozen burgers or so and take them somewhere else , park and get down to buisness. Should be in and out in 5 min once we get there.

Well plans don't always work out. Once we got there we realized we cannot just pull up on the motos as the don't allow that. **** well ok we'll park the bikes and walk up, which we did but ended up at the domestic terminal, no BK there. So not wanting to walk over we decide to torture some poor cabbie and take us from one terminal to the other.

ok not so bad we made it, we're high and we're hungry and happy to be eating bk.I proceed to order the left side of the menu and am informed of some rather disheartening news.

Excuse me, wtf do you mean there is no beef! Noooo. unacceptable! Well it was true, burger king vietnam had officially run out of beef. Apparently the shipment was stuck in customs. Only in Vietnam could BK run out of beef!!

Well there was no other choice than to order the only 2 available items. Vietnams version of the breakfast crossiant and vietnams version of the grilled chicken sandwich.

Should went there. Carl's Jr is the same as back home. It is quite good.

not all bad on the food front though. I have this sushi place I have been going too for a while and lately it's been spectacular. Def one of my top 2 overall dining spots in the city. A local Viet guy owns it and is the master chef. He gets alot of locals as well as japanese. His name is Nhan and his place is Nhan sushi.

I'm a regular there and had plans to go out with my kryptonite/ex gf. i suggested we go there.

I always swore by saki until a japanese friend of mine turned me on to sochu. Now I keep a bottle on tap at all times. There's some made from potatos and some from rice or whatever. Apparently the potato one is better. This is the only one I know, kuro kurishima

yea it got me the first time I looked as well with the little apple.

So I moved into a new place when I got back in town a couple months ago. apparently this girl lives across the hall with what I figured was her bf and her sister. i don't know them, never met them except for maybe a hello in the hallway.

a couple weeks ago the 2 girls knocked on my door asking to take some water as theres was off or sth.

so a couple nights ago i get a text. heres the whole conversation.

'hi Michael this is Minh, are you home or at work?

me- minh who?

her- I am your neighbors

me- oh ok helllo how can I help you

her- sorry for you trouble you. just...i am home alone and i scare. if you at home i just stay for a bit wait for my sister.

umm like wtf, this is kinda weird so just said I was kinda sick and wanted to sleep and asked her why she scared. She said she always scared when she's home alone, ghosts yada yada.

So last night I stumbled in at like 6am and resisted the urge to bang on her door, came in my house apparently sent her some message about the ghosts and passed out.

I woke up to her calling me. she asked if I wanted some food and some company. I was like cool.

This is a Banh Bao. I bought 2 of these puppies last night. Just microwaved one for no less than 12 minutes. It was just warm enough to eat. Put one of these ****ers in a microwave at like a rest stop and people would be runnin for cover.I was scared to peak in around minute 9.
