hey op have you ever thought of going to the poppy fields, becoming your own supplier while cutting out the middleman, and starting a drug empire in harlem and being the first black man not having to deal with the italians?

What's the job market over there like (especially for educated Americans who only speak English, but are willing to learn the language)? I think it would be awesome to move to a country like Vietnam, assuming I could make decent money (like the equivalent standard of living of $75K here).

Well, It's illegal. Not sure what would happen if I got caught with say a few pills, propably a big bribe. But I can't imagine how you could even get caught as nobody bothers you and even the police did stop me say driving my moto, they wont be searching you. For the Vietnamese selling it, yes they could get in huge trouble if caught distributing. But ****, go get caught in say mass with 2000 hits and see how you do.

Just got home 2 days ago. I will try to right up a final Tr and see what new pics I can dig up in the next few days.

They sure do beleive in some outrageous stuff the Vietnamese.

do they have pho stands? every block has a pho place i'm guessing? is pho f'ing super mega fantastic at every place or does it vary a lot? ty if answer

There are pho stands (there are better foods you can get at stands), but they're not as good as going to a restaurant/sit-down place.

It varies just as much or in the states (if you live in CA).

Also, a fancy place can charge 3x the amount you would find in a random alley doesn't necessarily mean it's better.

dang. so if i've found some really amazing places here in the US then pretty much its' not going to get too much better in vietnam and may be hard to find something better if so?

There's one place here that hands down beats any place I've had in the US and that includes little saigon in cali. The restaurant has been here for 50 years and still run by the same family. The bowls are pricey by Vietnamese standards, a little under $2 bucks a bowl but amazing. I'll try to grab some pictures and put it up.

I had never had pho prior to going(or after) to Vietnam but it's everywhere and some is way better than others. not sure how the best Vietnam pho would compare to other places but it seems easy to make so I would think pho can only be so good.

I have been back here since the end of october. I started dating a girl I met here last time right before I left.

Although she is def a good girl and I don't have a bad thing to say about her like many Vietnamese girls she could be a little crazy when mad. We got into some pretty heated battles with **** flying around my apartment. The last fight started out at the bar where she came out of the bathroom and beat me up with my phone and then thru a glass at me that missed. I later heard it just missed a group of people. Long story short the next day I had to buy a new computer(yes mine went flying that night).

We ended up making up a few days later and continued dating. Some time before the fight we were laying around my apartment. I would show her the occasional random thing that I would laugh about here at bbv such as the wigglers dancing rhinocerous. she seemed to enjoy the content. Then one day I was reading goofy ballers thread from the hall of fame. I read it out loud to her and we both enjoyed the **** out of the story, how can't you.

Anyways A couple weeks later I think we may have got into another argument or something. She was at her house and I was home on the computer. I get an IM from her asking how I could do such a thing? hmmmm, she asked a couple more questions and I'm trying to play off what I think she might be getting at. but then wait, but how? I am from the US and she is from ****ing Vietnam, this can't be possible can it? I take a big gulp and say send me the link then.

and there it was! The topic I started while I was back in the US before I came back here. I took pics from her facebook, from a girl I barely knew and started a rate this chick thread in BBV about her.... and she has the friggen link. She has been to California twice and apparently someone recognized something and sent it to her. I did tell her that this place was one of the most visited places on the internet and after all, Vietnamese people love to gamble right, so as much as I wanted and did accuse her of getting the link somehow from my computer, she maintained her story.

Naturally she also had a copy of the link to this topic, although that's not even close to as bad and embarrassing as the other one.

So what could I say. I felt pretty bad and pretty ****ing embarrassed, especially since art imitated life(or is it life imitates art) as we were just reading the GB thread a few weeks earlier. So basically I apologized and explained what it is we do here at bbv and why I would do such a thing and was just honest about the whole thing. I also explained that in the interest of full disclosure at some point in time I would have to tell this story in this thread. So here it is.

If you are reading this I do want to remain friends and def think you are a great girl in a lot of ways.
