I actually thought of inducing myself to throw up but for some reason thought that would be more disgusting. I'm going to have to admit I was wrong on that one.

Also, the picture was awesome. And that I derfinitely didn't think of. Though in my case, in retropect, I would give it about a 50/50 chance of permanently rendering the camera unusable. Maybe I should have bought a disposable camera.

Also, I didn't think of using chopsticks. I'm kind of glad I didn't go with that one because I don't think I would ever have wanted to use chopsticks again...

Several years ago, a friend (also subsistence poker pro / degenerate gambler) went to an large outdoor event on the national mall in Washington, DC. There were lots of porta-potties surrounding the area. I don't remember how many, but let's say about 40.

I'm not sure how we got on this topic, but I asked him this question: Let's say you know for certain that someone has placed a valuable gold coin in one of the potty bowls. How much would the coin have to be worth for you to go after it? For the purpose of argument, assume that you are certain it is really there, you are the only one who knows this (apart from the hider), and that you definitely will find it if you try hard enough. You could get lucky and find it in the very first shithole, or if you're running really bad, you'll find it in the 40th one, probably the next day. You can wear rubber gloves, protective eyewear, and use whatever standard household items that you think could help you complete this task. I think he said he would do it if it were worth $5000 or more. I thought I would need it to be worth $10000. Now I'm not sure I would do it for that much, but there is definitely some amount of money for which I would; obviously I would for a $million.

How much would any of you require?
