Not only are wages finally actually growing, but it is the lower and middle class that it is helping most.

Not to brag, but I have said a few times that real wage growth was coming ITT. However, we haven't seen the end of wage growth for the middle and lower class. We will likely see continued real wage growth for a couple years and unemployment is likely to continue its downward trend for the foreseeable future. This is even likely to take place despite the feds continuing to raise rates.

I don't believe keeping threads on topic, posting conservative ideas, ignoring personal attacks and making logical arguments that go over the head of many 2+2 posters (who tend to have a limited understanding of economics) are 100% to blame why I've been banned on 2+2, but I'd agree that they are a yuge majority of the reason. It sounds like we need to lighten the mood in here. Here is a joke you all may like.

When liberals see Trump placing tariffs on imports they ALWAYS say that a 10% tariff means that consumers will have to pay 10% more (ignoring any effects on businesses). However, when obama imposed obamacare or a higher minimum wage on the US it was good because now businesses are going to pay more for health insurance or labor (and employees and consumers are assumed to not be effected).

Talking about the business investing more into employee base = good

Talking about consumers paying more because of idiotic, uninformed policy making = bad

Yes I can see why you would believe those 2 statements, but you missed my point. 100% of increase costs because of tariffs don’t all go to consumers just like 100% of the costs of labor don’t all fall on business. Companies treat both for what they are - an increased cost of goods and pass some of those costs to consumers and eat some of them.

For the record, I think and hope trump is just increasing tariffs to get to fair or preferably free trade. If that isn’t his goal, which I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t, then he’s an idiot.
