I hope you aren't trying to suggest obama was attacked as much as GOATrump. The guy has had more **** thrown at him than the last 10 presidents combined.

Fox News, Breitbart and their ilk criticized Obama every day of his two terms for things like wearing a tan suit, using spicy mustard, having a first lady who wanted kids to exercise and eat better, proving that he was born in Hawaii, working to give sick people health care like the rest of the industrialized world, golfing at a rate just under 1/4th of that of the current president, and presidenting while black.

Those outlets have turned themselves into state run media, similar to the old Soviet TASS and the current Chinese and North Korean broadcasts. From the rest of the media (i.e. the independent media), Trump is criticized at about the same rate as Obama was for things like lying and getting caught at it more than five times a day on average, praising brutal dictators, antagonizing our closest friends and allies, being a Russian stooge; retweeting, hiring and praising white supremacists, overseeing the most corrupt cabinet of any administration in US history, gloating over gutting health care, tearing screaming children from their parents and throwing them in cages, using his position to rake in millions from corrupt governments around the world for his business, being semi-literate, never failing to go out of his way to be an *******, chipping away at our democracy and rule of law in favor of saving his own hide and becoming an authoritarian tyrant with no checks on his power, pretending to be a Christian to dupe the fundamentalist rubes while advancing their hateful version of Sharia law, and the like.

From my understanding breitbart is a far right website and not considered mainstream media.

Fox on the other hand is - so you were able to name one mainstream media outlet that criticized obama. However, suggesting Fox criticized obama much less than EVERY other mainstream media player is criticizing trump now.

Trump gets it from everyone and they come a lot harder. This isn't to say he doesn't bring a lot of it on himself, but that doesn't change the fact that comparing trump and obama on how they were treated by the media is silly. You are comparing the most criticized president in our history and arguably the least criticized.

Also, if you're a ****, more people are going to criticize you. Obama was someone who came under a lot of criticism from a small group of *****. It's a fine distinction, but one worth noting.

Trump is the worst president (that I can remember) we have ever had in terms of handling the media or criticism. However, we have never had a president been attacked even 1/10th of what Trump has so they may not be totally fair of me to say.

I disagree that he brings 90% of the **** that gets thrown at him on. He deserves more than past presidents, but no where near the level we are seeing.

I agree that if he acted better he would be liked more, but I disagree that he wouldn't be president then. I think he would have won that election by a landslide if he acted like a normal president as there were a lot of people put off by his antics.
