It is looking like Dems will succeed in playing the whataboutism argument against trump. They did a beautiful job encouraging political violence against their opponents in an attempt to get trump to do it too.

He also called into question this years election which dems have been teaching him to do for 4 years and he finally took the bait. #notmypresident

Now that trump was voted not guilty of encouraging political violence how do they determine the order of who goes to trial next for all the dem politicians who also encouraged political violence?

Trump could have walked up on stage and said "I did it" and the spineless Rupublicans would have still voted not guilty.

And, while I know you are speaking tongue in cheek, I'm sure you understand the difference in power of the words of the POTUS has compared to... well... any one else.

I'm just curious to know whether it would have been 90 or 95 guilty votes if it had of been anonymous vote where they had to give an honest answer.

Fidstar, enough of the whataboutism. Many dems encouraged political violence and called into question the legitimacy of an election before trump did either of those and saying we should ignore all those dem politicians because he’s the president is just wrong to do.

If it was an anonymous vote I think we would have seen below 40 guilty votes as I think many people voted guilty because of the immense political pressure to do so. I think the number drops down to 10 or less if it was any president before trump (or Biden) and everyone was faced with the knowledge that the opposing political party did exactly what the president was facing charges for to a far greater scale as we have seen over the last 4 years (as evidenced by trumps attorneys videos at the witch hunt).

I completely understand as this is a tough topic to talk about. What trump did that day and what so many dem politicians did for the last year is totally unacceptable and we should kick them all out of office.
