A day after the white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, VA, Carlson hosted a segment on the issue of removing Confederate statues from public spaces and accused activists of “trying to delegitimize the U.S. government and the traditions of American society because they don't believe in them.”

The traditions of the US Government and of American society involved preserving the Union against all threats, the most severe of which was a massive terrorist slaveholding separatist rebellion. It shouldn't be traditional to glorify murderous terrorists with statues.

October 20, 2017: Carlson dismissed Trump's birther conspiracy theories against Obama, claiming they weren't racist. Carlson claimed that Trump’s birther question was “factual,” not racist.

July 16, 2018: Carlson downplayed Russian election interference by claiming Mexico is "routinely interfering in our elections by packing the electorate" through immigration.

A complete and patent lie. Legal immigrants are Americans; they're not Mexicans. Illegal immigrants can't and don't vote in any but the most infinitesimally small numbers. This was a sop to Trump, whose fragile little snowflake ego couldn't take the fact that he lost the general election by a wide margin.

July 24, 2018: Carlson characterized "hate speech" as "a made-up category designed to gut the First Amendment and shut you up." Carlson also mocked an anti-Nazi poem written after the Holocaust.
