Hmmmm. Fair point.

I guess all I can say in my defense is the making the effort to fix a lock in a flophouse that I'm leaving in two weeks seems a little weird. And keep in mind that it's not really the lock that's broken--it's the whole door, so I don't think it's as simple as going to a locksmith.

It really is an interesting point you've raised though. I guess I've subconsciously decided that:

(the odds of me getting raped in my sleep)*(the value of my anal virginity) < (the effort required to fix the door) + (the money required to fix the door)

And that's a little sad.

And really, fixing the door doesn't totally solve the problem. He could still rape me when I'm making my breakfast or something.

And wouldn't going out of my way to fix the door now tip them off that I'm really creeped out by them? Things are semi-peaceful now and I'm trying to keep them that way.
