I'd require evidence to be demonstrably fact-based. Introduce logic and reason into the system.

Who am I kidding, that's never going to happen. How about this:

Decriminalize marijuana nationwide.

Make driving left and slow an offense punishable by heavy fines and license suspension.

Raise income taxes on the wealthiest, while removing shelters/write offs which only they can take advantage of.

Get smart people to figure out a way that all citizens can have healthcare without tying it to employment. While they're doing that, figure out a safety net so people don't have to worry about going bankrupt if they get sick.

Hire Saul Goodman as Attorney General.

Sign executive order introducing the Universal ShamWow Stimulus Program. Every citizen gets 4 ShamWows every other month financed by the Government. But because we cant do this all day, I would double everybody's order! That's 8 ShamWows every month!

In Germany, the Kanzler is what you call president. But we have a president, too. Though, he is a somewhat neutral commentator of political and other happenings, and doesn't have any challenging tasks at all, but gets a lot of money (4life!).

As the german president, I'd tell everyone what I acutally honestly think. Like that we need to get back into nuclear energy, and that we should put a salary cap on football teams. That we need a country owned online-poker site, and that people should start eating insects to save the climate, shortly before I eat a huge rib-eye steak.
Maybe I would also start trolling on twitter, like Trump does.
