I barely knew reef through little fourm interaction here and there. He was easily one of my favorite posters during his time. Though I have no real vested interest in his passing it's still extermely sad and reading this thread makes me want to shed some tears. Not because he was a close friend or anything but because he was wayyyy too young. Seeing how many friends he made here and the overall emotion this brings out in us all for an "e-friend" really opens eyes to the fact that this really is a community.

RIP Reef. My thoughts are with your friends/family in their time of mourning.

I haven't read much past this yet, but it expresses exactly what's going on with me. But at least the tears are coming now. I was just to stunned at first. I'm so upset I'm finding out after the funeral. This would have been worth the trip to me. Not quite the meet up we were planning...

i have one pm from him and it wouldn't mean much if i posted it but there was one time i flipped out in the omg thread and he was one of the few ppl that actually cared enough to message me. after that we started talking every so often, usually when i was playing tournaments. later i will probably go look through my aim logs in search of our convos.

This reminds me I saw some gang show on tv the other day and at the funeral everyone had their cellphones out and taking pictures of the dead body in the casket.

Seemed really inappropriate to me, but perhaps someone can post some funeral shots here.
