My opinion of the USA...

Only looking at the Top 5% of people in each country, then USA is near the top, but looking at the average looking person from each country, then USA is midfield.

People often confuse "variety" with "quality".

In the end, it's like a restaurant. You want the BEST food, not some sloppy buffet.

I was talking about the country, like in the question.
If I must decide on best looking people, in a general fashion, I would still say USA.
Round numbers:
600MM Americans
50% female
Say 2% of the total are 9's or better.
That's 6MM american hotties. That's about 1/4 of the total combined population of Scandinavian countries.
Assume 50% of scandies are female, and even if 80% of them were scorchingly hot, that's about 10MM for the entire chunk of frozen Europe.
80% is outrageous (quite a lot of those women look like Helga the horrible).
6MM American knockouts, from every slice of the ethnic spectrum, age group, and social scale.

Hmmm.

But I think that's the problem of using "total hot people" vs. median or average hotness of the population right?

Ie. I 100% agree with you the US has a higher hottie coefficient than china, but is it 4x higher? Probably not right? Because that's the ratio of their population to ours.

Depends where the cut off is though. If you put all China and USA into one group and I was asked to pick out the top 100,000 most attractive people, they would all be from the USA. Now if you said pick out the top 10,000,000 most attractive people, I think it would be fairly even, if not leaning towards China.

When talking about good looking, we are also talking about body shape.

agreed. I didn't really think about it, when writing the question (

). But it should really mean average looking person in the country. And as I said above, that would mean that USA is midfield, despite having some elite talent at the top end.
