Re: The question of the day thread

I enjoyed the middle ages. The world was flat and the sun revolved around it. You could die from a cold or the treatment for it. Dungeons weren't just legal, but a status symbol. Ale for breakfast, lunch, and supper without recriminations. Cell service was horrible, but it got better.

Re: The question of the day thread

I never understood why people bought DVD's to begin with. Like you're ever going to watch that **** enough times to justify owning it.

How many times should someone watch a DVD to justify owning it?

Re: The question of the day thread

2.99 to rent, ~14.99 to buy...there are probably hundreds of movies that made sense for me to buy.

Re: The question of the day thread

That's like 90's rental pricing vs current purchase prices.

And are there really 100's of movies you've watched more than 3 times?

QOTD

How many movies have you watched 3+ times?

If I exclude stuff I watched as a kid I think I'm at about 10.

Re: The question of the day thread

Impossible to count how many. If I like a movie I watch it until I have mined all the funny one-liners and stoped learning something new.

Re: The question of the day thread

Plenty of reasons to own imo. Dvds are cheap. If I enjoyed the movie I will probably want to watch it again in the future, so owning it helps me remember. When buddies come round, always plenty of movies to choose from. Means I have something to put on my shelves.

When I was a teen, I used to watch a movie every night after school. I would watch the same movie every night, and then occasionally change movie when I found another I liked. I can count 35 in my collection that I've seen 3+ times. no idea how many others I've seen 3+..

Re: The question of the day thread

i rewatch a lot of movies. often i'll rewatch a movie so much i'll rewatch it with director commentary, and director commentary on a movie just makes me more psyched to rewatch it again
