Traffic laws are just set up so that the courts can handle bigger issues. You have the option to go to court and contest your guilt or innocence on traffic citations. A record of driving offenses is kept. If you were caught driving 50+ mph over the limit you would probably be going to jail. Is it a crime at that point?

But I'm not a lawyer of judge either so my opinions could be way off. Mostly I just make things up as I go along so I'm okay with your logic too.

My last living grandmother passed away at 96 years old just a couple of years ago so she hasn't been doable in my lifetime if ever. My maternal grandmother passed away 20+ years ago and I'm not sure if she was ever in my range either.
