Hah k, and yeah I just want the whole thing individually lol. Once I listen through for a third time actually looking for what I want I'm sure I could just copy/paste the whole set list

Fatboy Slim has perma status as one of the 10 biggest names in electronic music until he retires. Just fwiw.

I wish I could teleport some of you guy to the early 90's stuff. By that same token I wish I could teleport myself to the early 80's stuff I missed. It's weird where the EDM scene is now. So many of the best talents in the world now you'll never get to see in an intimate setting playing for 4-5+ hours. It wasn't always this format of 1.5-2 hours sitting on top of a stage.

Ok I'm done being old and nostalgic

I like Fatboy Slim and was a big fanboy of his music in the 90s so I'm right there with you. Saw him at Pacha in Sept and had a really good time. My comments were more for Guetta than Fatboy Slim actually. Thing is with FS is that my tastes are way more trance more than ever so maybe that's the reason I made that comment.

Now onto another topic..... I think we're gonna totally forget all about Madeon's mashups after A&G just takes over the joint in 2012. I will be for sure looking out for them in a club near me....WOW. Everything I've been listening to is like liquid GOLD.

Whats the song that starts around 23:30? I recognize parts of it but don't know names and for some reason can't really figure out which one it is on the set list.

5. Jerry Rekonius - Powahbunga (Original Mix)
6. Alright Cobrawooga (DEFEP Festival Bootleg) w/ Bingo Players - Cobra Rattle (T-SEB Mashup)
7. Tommy Trash vs. Congorock - End of Babylon Folk (Andrew G & Lokchin Festival Mashup)

One of those I guess? Actually looking for what is playing at 24:15, maybe more than one of those play in that time or something?!

Recommendations for Madeon sets to look up? I'd love to listen to more house mash up sets or anything similar.

Edit: Awesome thanks, the end of Babylon folks mix is what I was looking for.

i actually woke up thinking that maybe it was all a dream.... and that i'd have to now attempt to re-make all of the mashups myself just to relive them again.

luckily... i was wrong

That new Afrojack song with Shermanology is pretty crappy, hope I don't have to hear it everywhere (I'm sure I will though). Take Over Control was much stronger crossover hit with more melody and just catchier all around.

Went to see Myon & Shane 54 on Friday night and they really killed it. Their mixing is so tight, and they're the undisputed trance mashup kings. If you have a chance to go see them in your city I'd highly recommend it - their tickets don't go for nearly as much as the bigger names either (only $20 here).

Nice TR Dark. MS54 has been on my bucket list and I hope to see them live soon.

Btw, is there any live reviews for W&W and Aly and Fila? I'm wondering whether it's worth booking an out of town trip to them either of them.

W&W played here fairly recently, but it was at a ****ty venue that I almost never go to so I passed on it at the time.

I caught them at Tomorrowland in 2010 and I thought they did a great job, they play alot of their own productions, but also a very techy / melodic style. I always thought they had very tight mixing and good transitions overall (IMO similar to Sander van Doorn in terms of editing / transitions), but I heard a somewhat-recent set from November where the mixing was a bit off from them - perhaps one of the duo is a much better mixer than the other

I also caught Ingrosso a couple of weeks back - I know there were some positive reviews for him here - my experience was a little more on the medicore side. He put on a pretty good performance and the production quality was a bit higher with fireworks and etc, but overall, a little too festival-ish for the 1200 capacity venue (lots of long breakdowns with big sections of silence for people to applaud, even dropped the Skrillex remix of Benassi's Cinema), set was very much pre-programmed in Ableton, I listened to his set live from Glow in Washington earlier that day and it was almost track for track (in the same order as well), so that might have taken away from it a bit as well. Also, it was extremely crowded and the crowd was... for the lack of a better word, douchy. The big names such as SHM, Guetta, Armin, Tiesto seem to draw a more pushy / less enjoyable crowd to shows in my city at least (as in people who go for the sake of going to something popular, rather than for their own enjoyment). Didn't really feel like I got good value for my money at $60 for the ticket.

Is anyone going to any of the ASOT 550 parties? I bought one of the early VIP tickets for the show on 31-3-12 in the Netherlands and I've been looking at flights recently - I bought tickets for 500 last year but never ended up booking the flight and just selling my tickets online.

I def. noticed that as well Dark. Like when I was at Electric Zoo I never had a problem with the crowd until Guetta took the stage where all of a sudden I was being pushed around and all of these aggro guys came outta nowhere to douche out to his music. But the funny thing is that Guetta was just playing his top 40 hit list with no real energetic beats to justify such aggression. It's funny how strong fame and marketing have on people.

Ingrosso recently canceled his gig in my city and got a full refund. I don't think I'll buy a new ticket when he reschedules. I think some of these big names are on autopilot up there and people like us can totally tell.
