Oh I mean we can't go to the afterparty! We are going both days of SW4 though! And yeah exactly, for £20 in a nice venue that is gonna be an awesome night on its own!
SW4 should still be pretty deadly though. I think it's one of their best lineups yet!
Yeah it's unfortunate I can't go. That being said, the sound quality always disappointing makes it feel a little easier, especially as my favourites are on the outdoor stage (A&B/Pryda).
If you're gunna be about I'd recommend doing the full weekend and going to FSOE 350 at MoS on Friday too!
I remember when they first announced A&B on the line-up - they said they'd be bringing the sound system they had at Ally Pally with them to this. Not sure how true that is, but it was on an official announcement from A&B. Obviously there's general noise from the local area that can impact it as well though.
And well we're just getting a train from Bedford for both days. An afterparty might be alright, but another whole night in London may be a bit much for my wallet!!
I think it's more about noise pollution levels in central London rather than a shoddy sound system. That being said, loud or quiet, A&B always hit the spot.
If that's the case, it's a bit weird. Most of the soundsystems I hear have turned the bass up way too high and the speakers can't handle it. I guess I notice that more as I mostly listen to D&B. I think a lot of people think that the more the bass rumbles the better, but you need some clarity too, not just blapping.
It'd make more sense to have the overall volume the same with the bass lower. That improves noise pollution too because low frequencies travel furthest. And to stay at the same level, you can increase the volume while decreasing the bass a bit.

We're taking the outdoor mainstage here. It's just the case that you can't have a speaker system set up on Clapham Common that'll make the people at the back of the audience hear well without breaking noise pollution laws.
The ratio like/unlike is above 100! As one of my criteria when doing searches is it should preferably be above 20, otherwise there often is something wrong, so guess this is super!
Was gonna wait until teh 9k, but there's gonna be a f***in overload w/ THAT poast.
Anywayz, for those who think I'm still a pedo,
meet Patchouli Knowledge...

However, modern medicine has now arrived in the strange netherworld of Gensokyo. Watch carefully as she transforms into one of the sexiest librarians 4L has ever laid eyes on...
also the music fits with this thread, obv.
NOTE: I have no motherf***ing idea what Japan's fascination w/ drained swimming pools is about, I've seen it in a couple manga comix b4...
Yeah, i swear even last year the SW4 mainstage audio was better. You litterally can't hear anything, even when you're right at the front! The tents are awesome though! Saw Tale Of Us for the first time and they were epiiic!
Eric Prydz and deadmau5 on the mainstage today, hopefully it'll sound alright!
