So I went in to work at 10:30 this morning as scheduled, and the store was locked down. We're supposed to open at 10:00, and this other guy was opening the store today. And there were a few people standing around waiting for the door to magically open. So I unlock the door, open the gate, and start racing through the opening procedures. Meanwhile, these people are all just standing there with their packages to be shipped. And they're all looking at me disapprovingly like "That guy was late; he is a terrible employee." I wanted to tell them, "I'm on time. You guys should be mad at Ben!" But I didn't do that, because I'm not gonna throw a friend under the bus for no real reason.

So I get those people taken care of and keep taking care of customers. Since I was by myself, it was non-****ing-stop work. Then Ben came wandering in around 2:00, having just woken up. That's 4 and a half hours late if you're keeping score at home.

Today sucked.

I don't think Ben is a very good employee.

I woke up in my BFFs bed (alone), then she came in and made me breakfast which was awesome. We watched Friends and drank coffee and tried to get un-hungover. Then I drove home, stopping off to buy some tasty sandwiches. The rest of my day I have spent casually browsing BBV4L, drinking beer, and watching TV in the bath (brag). I am such a wastrel.

I woulda been the one throwing Ben under the bus and then hopping in and driving over him.
