question:

so two days ago i was lying in bed with the girl who i've very recently promoted to gf status, chatting **** about this and that. she says something about wanting to move to england and work over there in a year or two, but doesn't want to have to take all the tests that would be involved if she wanted to work in her current (medical) profession. i'm like, well you can always be a stripper ldo, and we share a laugh - ha ha ha.

then she goes a bit quiet, and it's obvious something is wrong. i ask if she's ok, and she shakes her head silently and starts to cry. after a moment or two - still crying - she chokes out that she and some of her friends went to the strippers late last year, where she got drunk (she stressed this, repeating it two or three times), met a guy and went back to his place, where she was raped.

i didn't really know what to say, so i just held her for a bit, then after a while asked if she'd reported it - no she hadn't. i ask if she'd talked to anyone about it - psychs or counsellors or something, and she says no. then i asked if she wanted to talk about it - she paused for a bit and then said no, she just wanted to forget about it. so a bit more silence, me holding her, then she tries to apologise, and i brush this off ldo and tell her not to sorry. about then somebody sent me a text message, and my msg tone is, frankly, hilarious. this breaks the mood and we laugh, and spirits pick up from there. we didn't talk about it again.
