No dice, that would help the Internet Explorer/Mozilla but it becomes blurry and hard to read because lines of pixels get lost or something ... idk. But it doesn't help being able to tile more tables of poker. In fact now I can tile less than on my 19" monitor because I can't make them small enough to compensate for the lack of pixels even with the larger screen

That's all I thought I would have to do, but when I tried I kept on getting a "Invalid Mode Error" message. So I googled and found out:

Now, here is where you might get a little disappointed. Your TV's usual video signal is called NTSC (PAL if you live in Europe). This signal is different than the one generated by your computer. Computers use signals measured by pixels: 320x200, 320x240, 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024 or 1600x1200. Most TV's can only get about 500 lines of resolution, in computers this is like 500 vertical pixels. The video amplifiers in televisions cannot handle higher resolutions either. So when you factor these things together you are left with a maximum resolution of 640x480.
So I changed my resolution and it works, but it's sort of ****ty having a 800x600 resolution, so I've been trying to sort it out but it turns out I'm an idiot and can't
I mostly watch t.v. through hulu anyway so having my flat panel hooked up would be sweet ... I know people have done this before and I refuse to give up!!!
