today in a lecture everyone was spaced out in the theatre, and all the side seats were taken so it was hard for late people to get a seat. anyway this hottie came in and kinda stood in the aisle for a few seconds looking for a seat. anywho I got up to let her in like the gentleman I am.

all these other people came in late and no one got up to let them in, it was just ridiculous to have people sitting on stairs while LOTS of middle seats were empty. so I'm pretty sure I earned sick brownie points there.

Anyway, she ends up being in my poetry tutorial, and we were together in a group of four today. We have to attend a poetry reading some time this semester, so I'm thinking of asking her to come with me to it. Is this a good line, and if so, when should I ask (the next time I'd likely see her will be next monday).

yes good idea. make sure you talk to her next time you see her and if you are able to talk for like 10 mins just about the class and maybe some life and stuff then ask her then. if you can't really get any conversation at all next time you see her and you havnt built off enough rapport i wouldn't blow your ask out load too early imo

Meh I dunno if asking her to the poetry reading first is the best play. Ask her out on a real date, if that goes well you will end up going together anyway. I think it's better to be more direct and not put yourself in a situation where she could interpret it as a friend event. It's just taking a less aggressive line and hotter women don't appreciate that much. But if she's a shy girl your play is probably good.
