Hello Friends,

Today is a big day for the LGBT community. Today is the day that a community we stand together and support one another, as some of us for the first time announces to the world their true sexual orientation.

I welcome friends of our community to use this thread as a way to announce that you are LGBT. If you are already out, then feel free to post your coming out story.

Hello friends,

Like most coming out stories, mine begins well before my initial coming out. When did I know I was LGBT? Mostly likely I knew I was "different" when I started getting erections from all sexes when I was about 7 at the swimming pool. I didnt know which I was supposed to like more. Seeing females wearing bikinis or males wearing no shirts. These feelings were furthered advanced when my friends and I would explore our bodies together in middle school.

The funny part was I didnt know what I was. Yes, I was attracted to all sexes, but I felt different with my own sex as well. I wasn't sure what I was, but at the time I knew I was queer. The summer before my Senior year in High School, I finally decided to tell my parents.

They both cried, my father informed me I was to leave the house the day after I graduated. However, our relationship has since been repaired, even though he does not agree with my decisions. I realize that this isnt him, it's just the generation he came from.

...so you did not identify as female so much that you even got erections without a penis?

I was referring to the general decisions of the lifestyle of being queer, not being queer itself.
