Beat: looking for a job at labor ready - BBV4Life -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Ok I might do this if I can't find any job this summer. Anyone know how much one can earn in a day? I am not ******ed or anything: about to finish my 2 year in engineering. I can lift heavy weights, once I squatted 315 two for reps, ass to grass, not one of those fake quarter squats, legit olympic squat son.

So yeah, anyone have experience at labor ready? I don't wanna create a career out of it, cus hoping it'll hook up me up a steady job.

It depends on the company hiring you... 8$ - 15$ though for most places.

Beat: Labor Ready gets 13$ - 20$ for your efforts.

Yeah man, hopefully employers will see what a gem I am and hire me directly. I wanna do some manly jobs like construction and ****. Tired of working service/food jobs. I wanna be able to come home sweating masculine sweat and pissed off to have a reason to drink at night.

I went that route once. It wasn't bad, had to do some day work before they hooked me up w a steady job. It's better than just waiting around and you can get some references from it.

You need to apply to jobs that requires your skill set, in this case Squatting. Apply to a dumbell factory or find another job to do squat.

YOu're actually less likely to get hired perm because if you the company hires you they have to pay labor ready (or whatever other temp agency) like 3 mos of your salary as a finder's fee.

OTOH, once you tell people that you have poker training and 4L is your labor advisor I'm sure you'll get snapped right up.

Also, most labor ready type jobs don't expect you to be able to lift more than 50lbs.

Omfg get a real job. The most they pay is $12/hr. Most jobs are like $9-10. Also there is rarely any work and it's pretty degrading sitting in a gross office at 5am reeking because you're surrounded by hungover homeless people. So not worth it.

the reek of alcohol at 5am is nauseating in those places. I've gone that route a couple of times. Both times I was aproached to be hired by the company I was sent too, one time they told me if I took the job not to tell labor ready, lol.
