Yeah, the media sucks and they blow stuff like this way out of proportion, but what exactly do you expect? That's what the media does. If he's going to smoke, fine, but he needs to do in a private place surrounded by close friends who he would trust with his life. Not in a public place where some douchebag is going to take his picture and sell it for 6 figures.

I agree, but at the same time, it would be hard not to take that picture if I was there.

I mean, it's real easy to say what a douchebag the cameraman is while I'm sitting here in front of my computer, but if I was there, and I didn't personally know Phelps, and he was dumb enough to start ripping bong hits while I had my camera out, I really don't know.

I realize it would be a crappy thing to do, but Jesus. That picture would buy you a house. If you know how to negotiate, a really nice house. I'd have to think about it, but I might be able to live with being a douchebag for that kind of money.
