Ya so I don't cook, but I'm pretty good at throwing random stuff together and making it taste decent. I have virtually no food but I have crackers and eggs, so decided to give it a try.
I mixed:
3 hard boiled eggs
2 heaping spoonfulls of miracle whip (1.5 would be better actually)
1 shake of black pepper
1 shake of parmesan herb
1 shake of italian herb
1 glug of olive oil
2 shakes of tobasco
there is no celery in this recipe, not even any onions. texture is an important part of any food and your egg salad has no crunch watsoever. you also didn't use any mustard (either standard condiment or powdered spice variety) or salt. lemon juice and capers would also have been acceptable additons. just because it's called "egg salad" doesn't mean that you can make it by boiling some eggs and tossing in a couple different varieties of salad dressing
i have been contemplating making some egg salad for months now, and putting your pathetic attempt at sandwichmaking to shame may just be what i need to inspire me to actually make some
God, Friday, when I went home, I really wanted an egg-salad sandwich. And I was just obsessing about it and I was like: 'Man, I'm gonna make one of those.' So-so, Saturday I went out and got, like, a dozen eggs and I boiled them all and then I just I-I spent, I don't know, probably three hours... like three and a half hours making you know, the mayonnaise and the onions and paprika and, you know, all the accoutrement. And then by the time I was done I just really didn't feel like eating it.
