Keep zooming in to the edges far enough, and it will always be a "circle" that is just made up of 90 degree angles and straight lines. A shape FAR less efficient than a circle.

It's hard to explain, but if you ever spent any time working with a vector-drawing program like illustrator, you would understand easily.

But this has absolutely nothing to do with the trick.
