Gotta start slow with most Americans. Just know we start drinking Bud Lite, Keystone Ice, Natty Light swill in college and most never grow out of it. Blue Moon (Coors product) and Shock Top (obv St Louis) are actually a step up. The next logical step for someone that likes these beers imo is Hoegaarden. From there try a ready available German weiss beer like Weihenstephaner and finally get to something like Chimay. That's a pretty decent path for a drinker of lighter beers.

And fwiw Shock Top is my go to volume beer for cheap all day drinking at an event. It's cheap and easy to drink large amounts of and not bad at all.

I think it was a special edition, I never saw it again after I had it.

I think I worded the OP wrong, at the moment I like shocktop draft, bottled tastes pretty bad though.

Brooklyn Brewery makes good everything.

Anyone ever tried Sol? Its a bit like Corona

I'm drinking Steel Reserve as I post this.

However, my favorite two brews are a toss-up between Magic Hat #9, and Sierra Nevada.

I've fallen in love with this lately

Great tasting black lager that is juuust light enough so you can actually down quite a few without them getting too heavy and look at it! Great looking bottle! As much as I love a good strong beer w lots of taste, they really are best enjoyed in small quantities and thus don't work that well for pre drinking etc imo.

Leine's sold out and is now mass produced by Miller... so it used to be better(mass production ftl)

Blue moon is made with ****ing rice, as are all Coor's products, so it's pretty much ****.

I ****ing love Samuel Smiths Oatmeal Stout, Sierra Nevada's IPA, and Pabst(for the cheap high volume crowd)
