It's very true. Fwiw I don't actually feel old. I ran 8.6 miles today, something I never could have done as a 20 yo smoker. At the bar on Friday, I was surrounded by an older crowd (I think there was an 80's cover band playing before I arrived). Not only are you as old as you feel, but it is totally relative. I would imagine the 18 year olds in my classes view me as oldish, whereas the people at the bar Friday would view me as a baby.
I guess my point is, if I have one, that as you get older many people unconsciously develop responsibility and other traits typically shown by "old" people. That is not to say that some younger people are responsible, non-risk taking, mature individuals. Some are, I just wasn't. It's something I've had to develop as I've gotten older, though I am still a complete immature ass.
