I fear I have waited too long to transplant the sunflowers.
In the last 24 hours they have become droopy. Not sure if it is the lack of room for their roots to grow or the lack of sun.
So I have taken them from this...
to this...
I have now put them outside in the sun (well if there was sun today). We'll see how they go. I'm sorry FranFran if I was too late.
Unfortunately in the process I had to make some sacrifices. These men will never be forgotten...

Isn't this even harder to transplant later on? The roots might intermingle and stuff. You should go for single containers which get progressively larger. Maybe you should also support them by binding them to small sticks.
