they end up meaning the world to you and, well, it turns out fine anyway. **** the mountains, rivers and sunsets. There is endless beauty in caves too.
DB, did you come up with the words in your OP or did you take it from a book/film? I must admit it was kinda epic although wicked and grotesque at the same time.
What makes us what we are? If you believe in God, well, God made Adam, Adam made Cain, and we're all the children of Cain. We're the spawn of humans with murderous and greedy desires driving them, not the men that fell down with their brains bashed in because they were scared or timid or just didn't want to fight back... and yet...we do aspire to better things. We all are trying to crawl back through the **** and mud to God, if we use God as the name for the best of things.
So I guess we are all part grunting troglodyte lusting for power, wanting to rut and then strut around with the cool breeze blowing around our hard-on crusty and covered with piss and cum and juice, wanting to show our animal power and be crowned head of the pack.
But we're also part angel, looking to the heavens, shaking out the metaphorical white wings anchored to our shoulders, yearning to ride the air upwards into the face of God.
Eh, sometimes everything is a cage, but something a cage can be everything, right?
Though it's true that life sure doesn't turn out the way you expect, you have to take the pleasures where you can, and ignore the pain as best you can. The rain may fall and make you cold and wet, but it sure sounds sweet if you have a little shelter and you just listen to it. The roses look beautiful, even if the thorns prick your fingers. The more beer you drink the better you feel when you're having fun, but the worse you feel the next day. Nothing is finer that holding a warm, willing woman, even if you know she's gonna give you **** for something not even worth your time. And sometimes life's all lose, lose, lose. But it could be worse, you could be a quitter. That's life, people. Enjoy the rain, the roses, the beer and the women. Enjoy the fact that, even if you're a loser, you're not a quitter. There's good in that.
hey man congrats on another year you sound like a pretty laid back down to earth kinda old dude who i bet even i could be friends with were we to meet under the right circumstances. do you have the highest post count on 2p2? do you consider yourself a fatherly or even grandfatherly figure to 4l or 2p2 in general? keep on keepin on, 46 isn't that old in the grand scheme of things, you've still got plenty of time so my advice to you is take it one day at a time and step back once in awhile to appreciate the wisdom you have accrued being here on this weird ole planet for this long.
