I think this is the part of the conversation where I have to throw up my arms and complain because someone wrongly accused me of a political belief.

The best proxy for Trump and Mick is to just assume they're lying or being deceptive with quotes. Pelosi is pretty bad though so I fell for it and actually looked up the quote. Surprise, surprise it's about Trump using immigrants as pawns not saying that she doesn't want them:

Her claim that he’s using immigrants as pawns is her interpretation of him letting immigrants live in cities that claim to want them as opposed to cities that don’t. It seems like a win-win for all.

Really can't imagine why Trump and so many of his followers have a reputation as being racist. Just impossible for you to see how anyone could not agree that this wasn't the slam dunk you thought it would be.
