Nothing really interesting to report.

The two Russians said they got second jobs and are working 15 hours a day, so they "don't have the free time" to hang out. (I thought I was making progress with them, but I think those damn Jamaicans got to them.) I talked to the 48 year old alcoholic and he is currently in the middle of a big fight with the Russians because he says, "those two little bitches keep stealing my pop and my condiments. When you really think about it, that sheet is expensive."

The chubby, friendly landlord who helped me change apartments had a sudden heart attack and died a couple weeks ago. I was hoping that no one was going to remember to collect my rent, but unfortunately, his damn widow showed up for the check about five days after it was due. I run bad at squatting.

I'm currently living with a 28-year-old hobo who spent the last 6 months before he got here hitchhiking around the country. He seems friendly. The "let's-don't-pay-the-rent-because-the-landlord-died" game was actually his idea. We play pool at a local bar a couple times a week and he has not yet tried to steal my laptop.

I saw the Crazy Jamaican walking toward me while I was on the way to the grocery store about a week ago. We were on the same side of the street and we obviously both saw each other, but neither of us said a word.

The Jamaicans and the Russians went back to their home countries. They were just here for the summer doing ****ty manual labor jobs to help them pay for college.

I'm living in the same apartment complex (flophouse) with a 28 year old transient guy. He's got a temp job doing some kind of graphic design work and I'm playing poker. We heard some gunshots outside our apartment building a few days ago, but neither of cared enough to investigate. We head out to a local bar once or twice a week, but other than that, we keep a pretty low profile.

Some douchebag from my high school found me on Facebook and started asking me all kinds of questions so he could put an update on me in the alumni magazine. Just for the hell of it, I sent him a picture of me and Crazy Jamaican and told him that she is pregnant and the two of us are getting married. I went to a preppy, white, conservative, Christian high school in Virginia, so I'm hoping that when the picture of me and the black girl hits the magazine, some good old-fashion, racist hilarity will ensue.

Now is all over and there's no chance of a trainwreck, I don't mind commenting on this: Niagara Falls, New York is a f-ing weird town. You've got the Casino and the Falls. Everything else is kind of a dump.

My roommate was hitching across the country. When he ran out of money, he landed here about 4 months ago and took the graveyard shift working security at The Snow Park (new Niagara Falls tourist attraction). This local Indian guy (casino Indian--not Slurpee Indian) owns the Snow Park and half the businesses in the town. The Indian guy found out that my roommate has a college degree and promoted my roommate from "security guard" to "graphic designer." (Yeah, WTF.) In the last few months, my roommate has designed logos for like half of the local businesses in this town.

Will do. I've given the guy who writes the alumni magazine all the necessary info, but I've haven't heard from him in a while. I think he might be fact checking. (He might have got suspicious after he saw the pictures I sent him--even by interracial couple standards, CJ and me looked weird together.) I got some old friends to "congratulate" me on my Facebook Wall to try and cover my tracks a little bit. Now, all I can do is wait.

If the alumni magazine comes out and my wedding announcement is not printed, I'll probably just bump this thread one last time with the bizarre pictures I have of CJ and me together because they are pretty amusing.
