Have a new job in a new industry doing exactly what I want.
It's everything I could ask for.
Boss is an *******. I'm working for myself.
And of course things can change, but right now I have more clients than I can handle.
I'm happier than I have been for 9 years.
I'll be starting a tumblr account soon about my exploits. But it'll be (semi) anonymous and minor details will need to be changed.

And oh yeah, I went out with a bang, and I left "classy."

They want to hire me as a consultant. I said I'd consider it once I get more settled. If I do do some work for them, it'll be on my turns and for an obscene amount of money.

What do you consider an "obscene amount of money"?

Whenever anyone says they are going to take the company down with them, you know nothing is going to happen. Unless the company is illegally smuggling vietnamese girl boys there is nothing they can do.... When employees feel like they are irreplacable they are 100% suprised to learn they are not.

But it is good to here Kingfish taliking about working for yourself. Working for yourself has a whole set of pros and cons that are different than working for others. I ran my own businesses for a long time, then I got fed up with it, and went to work for others for a while, but after dealing with that soul crush, I went back to running my own businesses, because while it has its problems it is simply a better fit for me.

Sent out a few PMs but because of some events and how they unfolded. If i were to give an accurate account of what went down and how it went down, then company X may become a bit too easily identified.

Sorry for the lack of updates. When/if the company eventually folds or is sold, I can give some more details. Because management is so incompetent, their exploits have become a bit too well known in my (former) industry. It's safe to say that if this were a Dilbert storyline, it would probably be rejected for being too far fetched.

But yes, I'm on my own now and loving life. Working a lot less (my choice) and having fun watching my daughter grow up .
