I'm a newbie to this thread, so I don't know your current status. But it seems you are unemployed?? First off I admire your passion, and you seem to not care to much about $$. But if you work a couple of years at that job, and live how you were living on your old salary. You could put away a few 100k. Money that could be used for your daughters college, or money to retire early. I'm not sure of your age. But with so many people starving and unemployed, and CEO's of companies now eating at soup kitchens; what you did seems kind of stupid though noble. I know a guy who went to Columbia on a Scholarship, then worked for Goldman Sachs for a few years. Went back and did Harvard Bussiness. And went to work for Lehman brothers making 500k a year.
He got laid off when they went under in 2008. He hasn't worked since. And he has applied for hundreds of jobs. The best he was offered was a sales job for 75k a year. Nowindays people want to higher the people with the most experience, that will work for the cheapest salary.
You need to start acting like an adult. When your daughter can't go to Stanford cause you can't afford the tuition, your gonna be kicking yourself for not taking a job like this. I hope you come to your common sense eventually.

Joe is now a "consultant" with the company. He is no longer my boss.

My new boss just quit. He was hired 3 weeks ago. (I had nothing to do with it...I swear )

We just fired someone for making a clerical error that cost the company upwards of $4 million. The person who was fired is not the person who made the error.

The person who made the error was a summer intern.

Who evidentially somehow was able to make a $4 million mistake.

The intern made $8.50 per hour.

I guess I owe some updates.

Sry for slow updates. I just have no idea ATM how to do it without putting a large searchable target on my back.

I'll figure out something creative.

On the plus side, whole industry buzzing about the high level idiots we have here and how totally ****ed our company is.

It is entertaining and tragic at the same time.

You should write it all up and DM it to whoever wants to read the story. Minimum 200 posts to receive the DM and ban whoever reposts it.

One of the executives here has fled the country. Apparently quite a few women have complained about...shall we say... Sexually inappropriate behavior?

He also was found to have 2 wives.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. More later when I figure out how to post without explicit details.

Oh yeah...we are also hemmoraging money and employees faster than Newt Gingrich in a whorehouse.

There is a 50/50 chance I get fired tomorrow. Just got called into CEOs office for a mewtinf for something I think is ridiculous. If I get canned can post more details.

Had to stop myself from a reply all saying "Are you ****ing kidding me? GFY"

Then realized prob better to say it than have it in writing.

So pissed off right now.

Yeah good luck OP. Hope things work out well for you. This sounds corny, but sometimes leaving a company is the absolute best thing for you.

I did it twice on my own, and both times the next job was a vast improvement.
