i worry for colton's paint by number game. or whatever he likes to do for fun. being around manipulators and deceivers is really bad for art in the short term. what if he gets angry and is unable to use his heuristics? what if he uses an actual smiley face as a compass in his drawings, but now he vomits everytime he looks down at his studio? it could have tragic repercussions.

hopeful this thread is heavily moderated. i mean, the most important forum on 2p2 let a girl get killed a few weeks ago and then paraded around like it was a good thing, so i'm not realistically enthused at the moment that a dumpster will be given a modicum of respect. i wonder how religion will impact this season's festival of love.

speaking from prior experience, a girl once asked me if i believe in souls and i said i wasn't sure. it just so happened that i was extremely drunk at the time and didn't have the best grapple on my thoughts, but i have a feeling my answer cost me a shot at love.

when it gets closer to hometowns i'm either

- not watching at all. when the racecar driver was the bach. i turned it off during during the first cocktail party. couldn't stomach how little he cared.
- scouring the web for source interviews and spoilers
- watching on a loop all day. there's so much to learn about relationships!

The first rule of watching The Bachelor:

1. don't put any stock into the first rose ceremony and episode. it's nervous speed dating and figures almost irrelevant to the game mechanic. re-winding to see how the star and fiance 'met' is fun but nothing more than scrapbook material.

i watched colton's toast. he told all of the girls to blow him (something like, "don't worry about blowing it!" as advice. speech was very bachelor-y//repeating ancient adages invented by chris harrison.) i can already tell it was a superficial night and as a result i won't be watching the rest of the episode.

i think the show is best at the beginning and a slow downward spiral from there on out. when it gets to 3-4 or less contestants its completely unwatchable imo
