I have never purchased a new car in my life and never will... If you like burning money then a new car is a great way to do it. You can find to many good deals on nice used cars.

but... but... service plan?! say you buy off craigslist and get no service plan. say i have no experience with cars, can i buy a service plan?

is buying used from a dealer a good deal?

Am I better off tagging along and buying at auction or buying certified?

If I go the the auction (third-person connection):

1. How do I make sure it's not a lemon?

2. If I buy at auction and then run it by mechanic and decide I don't want it, what are the consequences of putting it back on auction?
