Also if people that live in the neighborhood know the car sales man they will always wonder about all the cars he will drive. in a way it is kind of like networking. plus it gives all of the salesman experience about the cars which helps them sell the products. a well informed staff = money for that car sales lot.
That is part of the reason, but most of it is because its something that Sales Mangers and GM's demand as part of there pay. Nice cars are expensive, if I can drive one for free it saves me about $1000+ a month.

The dealership is basically adding $10,000+ a year to my income and it doesnt cost them much because the cars are allways for sale, once my demo sells I get to go pick a new one..

Once he explained it was a demo car that made more sense... Why would an owner allow an employee to put mileage on new cars and general wear and tear. Plus if he is selling high end cars the marketing is not as big of a factor, how many people can afford a vehicle costing more then $35,000?

I usually drive something different every 3 or 4 days so that I dont put to many miles on one single car or if my demo sells then I get a different one. There alot of rich people in this country, although the economy has hit us hard just like any other business in the USA.

I own one of these BTW, unless he did something to it, it's 505 hp. I'm sure you aren't mistaken, but just saying in case you were. You got any Audi S5s? What do you think of Audis in general?

I'm willing to go trough the hassle of shipping if from US to Europe because here aren't any or they're ridiculously overprized.
I've asked for a very special car because that's an ask me everything thread. I've got a reply via PM advertising your dealership with exactly the cars you've posted above and the message you'll have an eye on a M3.

First of all, answer itt.
Then, why would you believe I want to buy 100k cars (after tax) when I'm looking for a max 50k car?
And hell, I don't want a damn M3, every 18 year old turk drives one here, but a very limited M3 CSL.

You basically hurt my feelings. Not very kind how you treat your potential customers!

I am a car dealership located in the USA, I sell cars that are manufactured for use in the USA. I am not sure what you mean by a BMW M3 CSL? All we got are M3's unless you know something I dont? I dont sell cars outside North America...

Ya, why would I ship an M3 from US to Europe? I mean, wtf?
There's a E46 M3CSL which is basically a weight reduced M3 among other small modifications to the body and the chassis.
Actually, those modifications make space for the S85B50, which is the 510 bhp engine from the E60 M5.
So, the plan is to get an M3 CSL, sell the S54B32 and implant the new monster.

Cheaper than the current E92 M3 but even faster than an M6.

Pretty obvious.

Who the hell said it's produced in US?
I just used this thread to maybe find a good CSL as I have a buyer for the engine, but it has to be below 5k mileage, better 3k.
Pretty hard to get tho, and I'm searching since January all over Europe.
Already got an brand new S85B50 and I'm going to let it tune by Kelleners to 5.3 litres and ~590 bhp after it has bout 3k mileage on.
New brakes and I'm good to go. Won't change anything else than engine, power train and brakes.

I mean, why do you think a random used car dealer in the US would know anything about finding you a foreign car that's not produced in the US?

Anyway, GL on the project, I've heard that the M V10 is a pretty nasty job to swap. Also do CSL's have the same subframe problem as the regular M's? If so with all the added power you definitely want to do the subframe reinforcement. much wider tires seem necessary too...

what do you think about marking up prices? for example i followed the launch of the 2010 camaro very close and almost every dealer marked up even the base V6 a couple thousand bucks, most SS models were $10k plus over MSRP.

small supply vs BIG DEMAND! thats it... Make the xtra money on the people that want to be the first to have one! There are allot of people out there that simply did not care about the few thousand $$ mark up, they just wanted that new Camaro.

I was working at Hummer in Vegas when the H3 got released... We had a $5000 mark up on every H3 in our inventory and did not budge $1. We sold every single one and had a list of orders waiting for customers that had left a deposit, some people just got to have it NOW!

I sell more cars from ebay then I ever do autotrader. Ebay is going to be the way of the future in purchasing cars. We pick up 4-5 customers a week that are flying in town to pick up there car and drive it home to another state.

I know nothing about European cars that are not produced for use in the USA. I do not ship cars out side of the USA, Canada or Mexico. Sounds like a nice project though.. good luck!

You should be able to buy a nice Viper with around 40k miles for around $30,000 - $34,000 If you pay more then $35,000 you are paying to much. A great deal would be about $32,000. I will keep an eye out for one!
