I've been poking around a bit to find a low-mileage (20k or so) 2007 BMW 7-series. What would be a good price?

Also, several of the auctions I've seen are for cars BMW repurchased due to customer complaints, repaired and then sold at auction. My first thought was you're asking for trouble buying a car that had problems as new, but some of the problems sounded relatively trivial/easily fixable (A-pillar wind noise was one that comes to mind) and might not be that big of a deal. What are your thoughts about this?

we found a bag of weed in the glovebox of a trade from a high school principal. he said it was confiscated from a student (a likely excuse). i think one of our mechanics/detailers took it because no one knew what happened to it

if youre in high school, then you are in fact a baller. having a 100% functional car in high school makes you a baller by default.

if youre in college, then youre not a baller, but youre still cool.

looking to buy a 2010 Kia Forte Koup SX with manual transmission and no addons (such as leather seats, sunroof, ... etc)

what price should i pay?
is it true that going to a dealership late in the month helps because they need to meet a monthly quota?

Why would you ever buy a new car? 2nd hand FTW go something 2 years old if you like to keep value in your car.

this has a lot of truth to it. when i was first shopping around the internet i was only looking at used cars with less than 15k miles, but then the 2010 kia forte koup looks pretty sweet and there are no used ones available. also i figured id get a better warranty if i buy new and it's less risky in general? i guess i have a few more questions...

what are the cons to buying used vs new? what are the major differences?

Have a mechanic check it out first, those Boxsters can be a nighmare if they have been driven real hard...

hmmmm. I don't get it really. If you want to average 1500 gross per deal then you are out lunch on this.

8800 Wholesale at auction (assuming you have allowed for buyers fees and transport in the wholesale #) if not its about $500
1000 Safety and recondition on an 11 yr old import is likely low but lets go with it

Total is 10 000 in the car.

Ask 12K and take an offer of 11500. This is $1500 gross which is what you said is your average.

oh yeah, please be answering the "have your every knowingly sold a lemon" question. if yes, do you believe it was the purchasers own fault for not doing enough research on the car (not checking carfax, ignoring carfax, etc)?
No I dont sell lemons, Im not some POS pot lot....

Yes, many dealers will sell there cars at cost to move inventory fast. I usually have 5-7 cars in my inventory that are advertised at a loss or break even price. This is normal business practice in the car BIZ, gota move cars and sometimes you loose money to do it.

I found an oz of 420 once in a box of porn magazines and adult toys located under a seat.

I found a dead dog in a trunk once! (we didnt take that car in trade btw)

A friend of mine found 30k cash and a kilo of coke in the spare tire well of an 09 Mercedes (the DEA came in and he had to go and testify against some big drug dealer)

Any advice? Truecar tells me dealer invoice on a 2010 GTI (2-door with DSG transmission) is something like $23.5K. How much do I save if I go for a 2009 model, and is it worth it (meaning, I like new cars 'cuz I'm an idiot like that, but I'll go for an '09 if it's significantly better value)?

Thanks.
I dont sell VW very often but I will keep an eye out for one...

I don't like Lemon Buy Back cars because once you buy one and try to sell or trade in the future you get hit really really hard on its value. The same car that not a Lemon Buy Back can be worth 20%-30% more money when trading in.

Lemon Buy backs are a pain in the ass, I don't sell them very often unless we take one in on trade and that doesn't happen allot.

You cant make $1500 dollars on $10000 cars, thats why I sell $20k to $30k cars...

Are you worried about my profit on each car or what you should pay for that Porsche? I quoted you a good price for you, not the dealership. If you want to pay to much... go ahead!

lmao... If you believe this your an idiot! I am way more desperate to sell cars at the begining of the month because a good start is detrimental to having a successful month in the car BIZ, especially the first 7 days.

I have never purchased a new car in my life and never will... If you like burning money then a new car is a great way to do it. You can find to many good deals on nice used cars.
