on average by how much to wind the odometer back on 2nd hand cars?

dealer servicing is a rort, comment? (eg why do i always need new windscreen wiper blades at every service)

also every addon a dealer tries to sell you is a rort, yes/no?

or are u just a used car lot.

cause we had tons of fun at customers expense in parts and service

GOD DAMN! they are tring to kill someone on that thing. I can buy a 99 Boxster with 90k at the auction for about $8800, a good deal on that car would be no more then $9,500 up to $10,000 if its real clean.

Have a mechanic check it out first, those Boxsters can be a nighmare if they have been driven real hard...

It depends on how much $$$ you want to spend... You can get a real nice 05 BMW 645CI coupe with 56k miles & under BMW warranty to 100k miles for about $29,000! I am 6'6 and my penis fits in this car great! lol

do used car places ever sell for a loss in order to ditch inventory and/or hit some sort of quota?

oh yeah, please be answering the "have your every knowingly sold a lemon" question. if yes, do you believe it was the purchasers own fault for not doing enough research on the car (not checking carfax, ignoring carfax, etc)?

I'm looking to buy a VW Golf GTI. I don't want to wait until August to buy the 2011 model that's coming to North America then (I think?). I would be perfectly happy with a certified pre-owned GTI, except 2009 was the the first year of the 5th gen GTI, so anything before then is 4th gen and not really a very good car, imo.

Any advice? Truecar tells me dealer invoice on a 2010 GTI (2-door with DSG transmission) is something like $23.5K. How much do I save if I go for a 2009 model, and is it worth it (meaning, I like new cars 'cuz I'm an idiot like that, but I'll go for an '09 if it's significantly better value)?

Im looking for a mid sized car from 1996-2000 that will be a good car for the misses (only been driving for like 7-8 months) needs to be a safe thing as my daughter will be in the car a lot.
