W.A.R.F. stands for Wisconsin Alumni Research Fund. WARFarin. Warf owns all the patents that any professor gets while at UW--our last chancellor built the chip in the PS2 or something like that, made $20 million for the school.
The bad part is that even if the school does nothing, they own the patent and the professor / researcher might never see a penny.
