Yes, it's called Invest in the Best

93% CSI score or higher to qualify (super hard to keep the average)

$50 per car from 8-11
$100 per car from 12-17
$150 per car from 18+

I usually get it about 6-7 months per year...its hard to recover from even one bad survey

Ton of fun to drive. Really don't care for the look of it though.

They're pretty sweet imo

What do you drive personally? And if you could drive any Nissan, what would it be and why?

(Also congrats to Buster on winning MVP )

I have a 2011 Nissan Maxima and a 2012 Acura Tsx Special Edition manual transmission.

I would like a fully loaded Nissan Frontier Crew Cab 4x4 Pro 4x. Look really good and drive great for a pretty decent price.

That's pretty sick man. So you do internet and sell? Typical dealerships have separate bdc depts. I imagine this gives you a nice advantage over the other sales people who are just relying on up's. Any jealously? I mean **** you are selling half the cars the joint does. How many sales people work there?

One night around 7pm I closed a deal on a new Nissan Quest minivan. One if the last things we do is go fill it up with gas. I drive it to the gas station about a half mile away and it is a slow night. It's already dark and the lighting at the station isn't the best. I run the purchase order inside a out 30 feet away from the pump. From inside I noticed 3 young teens trying to climb inside the van. I run outside and scream something like get the fu*€ away from the car. They start to come after me until another person getting gas starts to walk over. They decided to run away. I thank the guy and start to pump the gas. As the tank is almost full, a Black Yukon comes flying into the gas station with rap music blaring. 4 black males are hanging out the windows screaming something that couldn't be understood. I get in the van to lock myself in, and watch them go inside and rob the station at gun point. I can't leave because I'm blocked in and frozen because I saw the gun. I realize that I left my cell phone at work. Finally they speed off and I run inside to see if the clerk is ok. He is fine, not really even shook up about the whole scary mess. Finally I head back to the dealership very frazzled and upset. When I arrive I see my customers standing at the door with their arms crossed looking upset. I get out of the van and the husband said "where the hell have you been" I explain what happened and they responded with "ya like I said, hurry up" I bit my tongue and tossed him the keys. Just another day in the car business!
If this happened in Texas, story would have been different. Juvies wouldn't have been trying to get into your vehicle because they would already be locked up on the charges that California just gives them probation for; gas station clerk would have shot 1 of them dead, winged another one, 3 of them scampering back to the Yukon high-tailing it...customers would have been concerned for how you feel and how traumatic those events back-to-back must have been for you and expressed remorse over thinking evil "where the hell is he" thoughts.

Californians gonna calif, I guess.

New car you can go to Edmunds and check out the invoice price. But just send emails to the local dealers asking for the best price and compare those prices. Internet pricing is super competitive and many times we lose money to sell a new car. Look in the newspaper, if they are advertising a new car special that's always the loss leader, and it's way under invoice. If you want a car with more equipment then just ask them to match the discount, and pay for the extra options. Most dealers will do this

Used cars can be a little more tricky. Go kbb.com and look at the trade in, private party, and retail values. The dealer will want retail, but they took it in for around $500 under trade in value. Try to be somewhere in between those values. If you can buy the car out the door for under retail you are getting a good deal. Shop around online and have comparable cars, don't be afraid to show the salesman the other cars. We want to sell you a car, without you going to look at the others, 90% of people that leave never come back. Let them know your going to go look and they will try to keep you there.

I've looked up a price on kbb for a new car and quoted it to the dealer during sales process. He then takes out some sort of inventory showing what he allegedly paid for it from the manufacturer. This is bull****, right? There is some sort of discount given by the manufacturer so the paper is a lie!

I've noticed that if a used vehicle is the same brand as what the dealership sells new the asking price is quite a bit higher than if that same vehicle was for sale elsewhere. In other words, you can demand a higher price for Nissans than for Volkswagens of equal value. Any truth to this?

Every new car has holdback which is about 2% of the price of the car. We pay invoice minus holdback.

True, lots of people will come to the lot looking for used nissan's so they are easier to sell.

How many were good enough to earn a discount?
