2 ways to go here.
1) If you must stay the entire day, the blow ought to keep you conscious enough to make it through lunch. Make sure you eat something with bread and carbs to give you enough energy for the afternoon. Also, drink ginger ale or 7UP if your stomach is revolting.
2) If you don't have anything important going on, eat enough to barf in the men's room. It's flu season, mentioning that your niece [feel free to substitute other applicable party] was sick last weekend when you visited followed by puking in the men's room is an easy ticket home. Sell it enough and you probably have yourself a 4-day weekend.
