Advice on how to kill time? - BBV4Life -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

OK...

I am 22, no family (live in different country), no real friends (just acquaintences from college who have their own friends)... - i moved to the otherside of the country to do my honours degree and am sooooo lonely lol

I work a part time job this summer before going back to college in september - i literally work 3 days a week and the other 4 days just walk around the empty house doing *** all..

no spare money for pokerz so i just read the stories on 2+2 ...

I am soooooo bored...

Ideas people?

How do you get bored when you have internet access?

When I had empty days, I used to occupy myself by reading books, drinking beer, dicking around on the internet and watching TV. Unfortunately for me, I had a few friends who would interrupt these fun times. I guess sometimes we had a good time, but it was kinda annoying on the whole.

op, the answer is simple. you need to find yourself a hobby; you may sonsider taking up drugs. start out small you know? drink some alcohol and smoke some weed. before you know it, youll have moved on to the big leagues and will be smoking crack and making meth in your basement. it gives you something to focus on, and make even be a profitable venture. in addition, ou can meet some colorful characters in this business.

also, i might suggest that you try taking up something physical; perhaps running? sounds like you need a couple friends though, so you gotta do somehting to make it a social activity. if you were to run naked through the streets, it would be both great exercise and a good ice breaker for conversation. youd always have a way to start talking to someone.

I tried something new recently, i believe its called ogging or jogging, might be silent (invisible) J , apparently you just run for an extended period of time.

Also books, i know your a student, but step outside ur norm, read some philosophy or existential psychology for a laugh.

I find you get used to doing nothing. Back when I had no job for like two years I had the same problems. At first I got bored, but after about a two weeks I could sit in the same seat for like two days without going outside and I wouldn't even realise how much time had gone by.

My advice is read a book, play some poker. It's like smoking, at first you hate doing nothing, but after a while, you love it.
