W2G Already Issued, Staking Taxes Question

I staked someone in some events in Las Vegas this summer. He did well with a cash for about 11k.
He signed the W2-G as if he had all of himself. I want to claim the winning appropriately as my own, and have my own tax liability instead of him taking the taxes out of the total sum.
Is there any form(s) we can fill out to rectify this situation?
Is there anywhere else I should post this?
