Using Sharkscope Ability Rating to calculate TourneyEV Using Sharkscope Ability Rating to calculate TourneyEV

Hey guys, I'm currently building a new MTT schedule for myself across a few of the main sites and have been looking at the SharkScope Ability Rating of different tournaments in my buy-in range to select which tournaments to include.

I was wondering, in terms of calculating your EV for playing a given tournament, has anyone come up with a way of doing so using SharkScope Abilities?

I was thinking, if Player A has an Ability rating of 88 (over say 5k games - somewhat reliable) and he plays a tournament with an Ability Rating of 80 (such as the Super Tuesday), should they expect to make 10% ROI on average? Since 80x1.1=88?
Or is there further caveats in the way these ability ratings are calculated to consider when calculating the assumed EV of clicking register?

I expect a few of the MTT grinders or stable managers on here should know, thanks in advance for thoughts or direction on this

Don't, SS stats are typically skewed for a number of reasons and will never be fully accurate.

On an individual level yes, at a collective level they are accurate.

This is what Timex said he did to calculate the markup to be offered at pokershares - along with other tools.

Assume stables use a similar thing.

Would be cool to graph the decline in EV for a starting block of say 50 players over last couple of years.
