Understanding my own "play style" Understanding my own "play style"

Hi!

I started playing poker by playing tournaments and have never really left.

My play style seems to not have a ton of cashes, but has a decent amount of high finishes.

Does this mean I play a more variance based style?

My graph goes down, then a big bink, then down until another decent bink. I struggle having those break even runs or high cashing %.

Maybe I'm thinking incorrectly but it's frustrating overall because the variance weighs on me. Big cashes make me think I'm crushing, the next 100 tournaments makes me think I'm missing something.

Kinda in a rut.

Yeah pretty Standard mtt variance. Be ready for the long breakeven stretches.
Mtt variance is insane.

Good bankroll management is important. If you want to cut some variance them mix som sit&go in your schedule

Also, 600 games is nothing in MTTs

You mean you win a tournament one day and then the next 2-3 sessions you don't and it's a rut? No matter how bad or good you are, the graph you posted can easily come from playing 600 tournaments with probably different buyins and field sizes. It gives you literally no information, you need a way way bigger sample and by the time you get there you and/or the games have changed significantly, rendering part of your sample less relevant. The only deciding factor is basically how many AA vs KK or other flips you won deep in your highest buyins. Look at bb/100 if you want to score your performance.
