I'm originally a cash game player but looking into jumping into the tournament scene. Last night I played a daily tournament at a local card room and found myself in unfamiliar territory.
I basically started to run cold after the second hand. In a cash game, I can just get up and walk around or sit out without having to worry about blinds or antes. But how am I supposed to deal with a cold run of cards during a tournament?
It was a Deep Stack MMT with 30 min levels in first 4 levels, then 25 min levels from 5th level and on. Ante starts at 5th level.

Same way you deal with it in cash, you lose your money. Just a bit faster in tournaments because the blinds/antes are a larger % of your stack. Sometimes you just get 94o every hand. 30 minute levels is almost a turbo so being carddead and blinding off hopelessly will occur regularly.
