since I'm comparatively new to this forum, I ask the Moderators to move the thread to the right forum if I'm wrong here.

Since I am a casual player who likes to play big MTTs, but can only do this occasionally (Job&family) due to the generally much too long duration of MTTS, especially on stars and party, I am currently looking for tournaments that are spread over several days.

There are already tournaments like this here and there, but these are only the big main events with huge buyins. like Millions online on partypoker recently.

What I like very much at the moment is the possibility to play the "Phase Tourneys" on stars during the current Winter Series, because I know that part 1 is finished after 2-3 hours at the latest.

I'm already thinking about asking the poker rooms to include this type of tournament (or similar) in the regular tournament schedule. Do you think we have a chance if we get involved in a group and "bother" Stars Support, for example?
Because it would be especially interesting for amateur players who have a life besides playing poker to play tournaments that do not last 7 hours or longer, but ended after 3 hours and then continued in the next two days at the same time, again for three hours each.

So more recreational players would participate in tournaments, which would also benefit the regulars.

Hence my questions:

What do you think of these kind of tournaments?

Are there any rooms that already offer this kind of thing?

And basically:
Which other poker rooms have a good MTT offer besides party and stars?

You basically describe the 5-day tournament on stars in 2 days.
I am pretty sure that this one is kind of a testrun for Stars, but I doubt that this will become a regular thing since their weekly phase tournament was already removed due to decreasing participants. "Pokerstars Luke" is responsible for the schedule on Pokerstars.

But I dont think there are any other sites which offer those kind of tournaments. If you dont have much time to play Id highly suggest you to play Zoom Tournaments.

& besides Stars & Party the other bigger sites are:

Pokerstars.es (European player pool, but you can play there too)
Winamax.fr (french site)

Other options are AmericansCardRoom, Natural8/GGNetwork, 888. At this point in time.

I don't see many true working professionals wanting multi day mtts. Most casual players sometimes only have 1 day/evening to play poker. If your a busy human with a partner, hobbies and/or kids you just don't have multiple spare evenings to play poker.

yeah I don't necessarily mean tournaments over 4 or more days - a split in 2 to a maximum of three days would be ideal.

Since you speak to true working professionals with family, I ask myself the question whether you should "sacrifice" 3 times 3 hours or once 9. If a tournament starts at 7 p.m., you're busy until 4 a.m. at best, which you can't afford as a family man.

I think a phased event is fine. I think 3 days is too much. I think a phased event would work a lot better then a 2 day event.
